This Skylab is arranged together, with the living quarters , Airlock, MDA, and ATM all laying horizontal. I was told this was the mockup used in the Neutral Bouyancy Lab, but the S-IVB is a real rocket stage, S-IV-B 211, the second stange built for this Saturn IB. Parts of this stage are being accessed to support testing of the Ares booster J-2X second stage engine at Marshall Space Flight Center.
Perhaps everything but the S-IVB was used in the NBL?
This image was taken from the Space Shot thrill ride (do NOT attempt to do this!). The graded dirt area behind the display is for transport of the nearby Saturn V stages to the new facility built for it.

Aft end. This appears to be the aft end of an S-IVb stage - it is clear where the J-2 engine would be mounted - rather than the Skylab heatsink. |
