Mercury #17 downloading from Air Force Museum
Now at the St. Louis Science Center, St. Louis, MO.

Another flight-rated but never flown spacecraft. According to the signage, it is a "Fully equipped reserve capsule for Mercury-Atlas 8 (planned for Oct. 3, 1962), with Wally Schirra, Mercury 10, Caapsule 19".   Several panels have been removed exposing the engineering inside.  The hatch-opening is also covered with plastic.
