# 18
MA-7
Aurora-7
Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, IL
This plastic covered capsule carried Scott Carpenter.  Photography is difficult because of the covering.  It is tipped on it's side to expose the heat-shield, which is cut in half to reveal layeres of insulation and electronics.  The hatch-opening is also covered with plastic. I looked for the Aurora 7 emblem which was painted under the window (on top) but was unable to see anything.

This was formerly displayed at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair.

Former Location
As displayed at the New York World's Fair's U.S. Space Park. It appears to be on a wheeled cart which may indicate it was stored at night in a safe place.
