Lunar Module
Unflown Vehicle
LM-13

Cradle of Aviation Museum, Mitchell Field, Long Island, NY

This artifact was extensively restored for use in the HBO Tom Hanks miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon". It was redressed with foil patterns and added structures to portray all of the different lunar modules. Here it represents Apollo 11's Eagle. It is in a darkened room which make photography difficult, but gives a very nice impression of the lunar surface.
