This spacecraft was restored by the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. It is displayed with the commander's door removed. Tipped on its side, it provides good views of the heat sheild, where plugs were removed for analysis and presentation awards. While the restoration is well done, the display is somewhat dark, and the glass case makes flash photgraphy difficult. |
