Saturn V (S-IC-15)

Michoud Assembly Facility, New Orleans, LA

First Stage:S-IC-15  This booster was originally scheduled for Apollo 20.  It is displayed at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility outside New Orleans, Louisiana.  Saturn first stages were constructed here and then barged to KSC via the Intracoastal Waterway.  The MAF currently produces the External Tanks for the Space Shuttle. This stage is fitted with F1 engines originally used in static test firings of the boosters that ultimately lauched Apollo 15 and Apollo 16, and the very last F1 engine manufactured by Rocketdyne, according to "Saturn" author Alan Lawrie.
