This static display of an SRM (Solid Rocket Motor) is an engineering model used to design the Space Shuttle boosters. It is missing these items:
- Aft Skirt, which contains the nozzle and actuators (the nozzle pictured is a mockup)
- Forward Segment, which would contain avionics
- Nose cone, which would house the parachute retrieval system
