This Mercury-Redstone is a replica based on a stretched Redstone missile. It is missing the stabilizers on all four fins. The roll pattern on the fins appears correct, but the one on the top is a little long. The words 'United States' are smaller than on the prototype. The rocket awaits restoration at the Air Zoo storage facility.
The Mercury capsule (seen on the upper roll-patterned section) is an Smithsonian artifact.
