Gemini Titan II
New York Hall of Science, Corona Park, NY

This Gemini Titan (and Mercury Redstone) has been beautifully restored by Thomarios of Akron, Ohio, who also restored the Saturn V at KSC. Originally ereccted for the 1964-65 New York Worlds Fair, it was part of an exhibit honoring the American space program (see image below). Due to its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, it became badly deteriorated. An internal structure was fabricated by Robert Cane Archetects that allows the rockets to stand free of external support lines. The Gemini capsule that tops the booster is a replica, and sports a set of aircraft warning lights.
