"I read about the "boilerplate" Apollo capsules, and when I showed the photo to one of my co-workers, he told me about the one in the photos I've attached.
The owner tells me that he bought it from a salvage dealer in Grove City, PA, in 1982. He has a story about this capsule that you might be interested in. I told him about your memorial project, and that I was going to send the photos in just in case he had a piece of history. Contact him directly at the web address in the photos, and just let me know if it's a good find or not. It was a nice trip on a motorcycle from Pittsburgh. The physical location is on PA Route 8, approximately 10 miles north of the intersection with Interstate 80."
