"BP-6 was tested 3 or 4 times. Once on Pad Abort -1 in Nov.7, 1963, and 2-3 times in parachute tests in 1964-65. It was then given by North American to the local union hall."

"The capsule was given to the city of Downey in Feb. 07 by the former owners, the AFL-CIO union hall where it had stood for 40 years in Downey, California.

It is planned that it be restored and will stand in front of the new 'Columbia Memorial Space Science learning center' in the fall of 08."
