Apollo

Boilerplate

BP-29
Meteor Crater (Barringer Crater), AZ
Honeymoon at Meteor Crater This command module boilerplate is displayed outside the Visitor Center at Meteor Crater in Arizona.  The largest 'pristine' crater in the world, Meteor Crater was used by Apollo astronauts to train for their lunar missions.  This boilerplate was utilized in flotation tests at Johnson Space Center.  Standing next to it is my wife, Lynn.
