Soon to be displayed at the Columbia Memorial Space Science Center, Downey, CA. This boilerplate is pictured at Apollo County Park, part of the Los Angeles County Park system, along side three stocked lakes named for Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins . It wass located near the park entrance in a protective enclosure under a louvered awning and is difficult to take a good photo due to shadows and reflections. I liked this one best, as it shows a very unique hatch and eva handles. The parachute compartment and coloring gives indication this was used in some type of parachute drop tests. |
