Apollo
Boilerplate
BP-1224

Harris County Youth Center, Webster, TX

This Boilerplate is erected in a park outside the Harris County Youth Center in a Houston suburb not far from the Johnson Space Center.  The heavy hatch and fittings cause this BP to appear to be one used to test interiors for fire hazards after the Apollo 1 accident.

NOTE: The Harris County Youth Center is a closed facility not open to the public. Although the boilerplate can be seen at a distance from the road, do not enter the grounds without permission of the Center Superintendant.
